Boston, MA - Community Servings holds Annual Pie in the Sky Kickoff Party

Community Servings is kicking off their annual Pie in the Sky Thanksgiving bake sale at the W Boston Hotel on Tuesday, October 18th. This party marks the beginning of Pie in the Sky’s month-long fundraising efforts. Pie proceeds go directly to feeding Community Servings’ clients – homebound individuals and families struggling with life-threatening illnesses.

Deemed “World’s Greatest Bake Sale,” Pie in the Sky has drawn chefs from all over Massachusetts to participate in the baking of over 20,000 delicious apple, pecan, pumpkin, and sweet potato Thanksgiving pies. Priced at $30, the sale of each pie funds a week’s worth of nutritious meals to a client who no longer able to shop and cook for themselves or their family.

More than a fundraiser, Pie in the Sky fosters community spirit and engages the public in the mission of Community Servings. The kickoff party will include complimentary cocktails and bites, a pie-themed photo booth and games. All are welcome to bring friends and coworkers.

About Pie in the Sky

Since 1993, Pie in the Sky has allowed Boston’s chefs, caterer and restauranteurs to support Community Servings’ clients by donating thousands of pies. Through their generosity and that of hundreds of pie sellers and volunteers, the proceeds of each pie provide a week’s worth of nutritious home-delivered meals to a Community Servings’ client. Pie in the Sky has raised 10% of Community Servings’ private fundraising revenue.
